Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using allora ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What allora Is

allora is an AI-powered task and reminder assistant that communicates via SMS and WhatsApp. You text us tasks and reminders. We use artificial intelligence to process your messages, schedule reminders, and send recommendations.

allora is a productivity tool. It is not a medical, legal, financial, or professional advisory service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use allora. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.

If we discover that a user is under 13, we will terminate their account and delete their data without notice.

4. Service Availability

The Service is currently available to users in the United States and Canada. We may expand availability to additional countries in the future. Users outside of the United States and Canada may register their interest to be notified when the Service becomes available in their region.

5. Billing

allora offers a free 7-day trial. After the trial, the subscription is $15/mo. Cancel from your account at textallora.com/account before the trial ends and you will not be charged.

  • Monthly: $15/month

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges. We may change prices with 30 days' notice via SMS.

Cancellation and Deletion

You may cancel your subscription at any time by texting CANCEL ACCOUNT or through your account settings at textallora.com/account. If you cancel during the free trial, you will not be charged. After the trial, you retain full access until the end of your current billing period. Subscription fees are non-refundable and no partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.

After your billing period ends or you request account deletion, your data is preserved for 30 days in case you wish to return. During this period, your tasks, messages, reminders, and preferences remain intact. You can reactivate by texting back or logging in. After 30 days, your product data (tasks, messages, reminders, calendar data, preferences) is permanently deleted. Your identity record and billing history are retained for legal and tax compliance. Payment Failures

If a payment fails, your subscription status is marked as past due. Our payment processor (Stripe) will automatically retry the charge. Your access to the service continues during the retry period. If all retry attempts fail, your subscription is canceled and the standard cancellation and data retention terms apply.

Referral Program

allora offers a referral program. When you share your referral code and someone signs up using it, both you and the referred user earn a $5 credit once the referred user qualifies. To qualify, the referred user must remain on a paid plan for at least 7 days after their free trial ends. The free trial is one-time only, based on account creation date, not subscription date.

Credits are applied automatically as a discount on your next invoice. Key terms:

  • Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value
  • Unused credits expire 90 days after they are earned
  • Maximum credit applied per invoice: 50% of the invoice total, up to $50 in referral credits per billing cycle
  • One credit per referred user (duplicate referrals do not earn additional credits)

You may not use your own referral code. Abuse of the referral program, including creating multiple accounts, using automated tools to distribute codes, or any fraudulent activity, may result in forfeiture of all earned credits and deactivation of your referral code.

If a referred user receives a refund or disputes a charge, credits earned from that referral will be revoked for both parties. allora reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the referral program at any time.

6. SMS and WhatsApp Terms

By signing up, you consent to receive automated messages at the number you provide, including reminders, recommendations, and account notifications. Message frequency varies. Standard carrier rates may apply.

  • Pause messages: text PAUSE (resume with RESUME)
  • Stop all messages: text STOP (re-subscribe with START)
  • Help: text HELP

Delivery is not guaranteed. SMS and WhatsApp depend on third-party carrier networks, Twilio's infrastructure, and your device. Messages may be delayed, filtered, or undelivered due to factors outside our control. We are not liable for delivery failures.

7. AI Limitations

allora uses AI from providers including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google to process your messages and generate responses. AI is not perfect. It may:

  • Misinterpret dates or times (e.g., "9" parsed as AM instead of PM)
  • Fail to extract a task from an ambiguous message
  • Schedule a reminder at the wrong time
  • Generate a response that doesn't match your intent

You are responsible for verifying that reminders are set correctly by reviewing the confirmation message allora sends. If it's wrong, reply to correct it.

When you share a link, allora may retrieve and analyze the content. We are not responsible for the accuracy of information extracted from third-party websites.

Do Not Rely on allora For:

  • Medication schedules or medical appointments
  • Legal deadlines (court dates, filings, statute of limitations)
  • Financial deadlines (tax filings, payment due dates)
  • Safety-critical actions
  • Any situation where a missed reminder could cause personal harm, financial loss, or legal consequences

allora is a supplementary productivity tool, not a replacement for calendars, alarms, or professional services.

8. Calendar Integrations

You may optionally connect your Google Calendar or Apple Calendar (iCloud). Calendar integration is not required to use allora.

Google Calendar: Requires your explicit consent via OAuth. With read-only access, we check your calendar for scheduling conflicts. With read + write access, allora can create calendar events you explicitly request via SMS and remove events that allora created when you ask. allora will never modify or delete events you created outside of allora.

Apple Calendar: You may connect using an app-specific password. The same principles apply - we check availability and, with write access, create or remove events at your request. You can disconnect at any time.

You can change your access level or disconnect any calendar at any time from your account settings. See our Privacy Policy for full details on calendar data handling.

Calendar events created by allora are not guaranteed to be accurate. AI may misinterpret your request (e.g., wrong date, wrong duration). You are responsible for reviewing calendar events after creation and correcting any errors.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Send illegal, harmful, or abusive content
  • Use the Service to send spam or bulk messages
  • Use automated tools or bots to interact with the Service
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent limits or bans
  • Impersonate others
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, at our sole discretion, without notice or refund, if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior, use the Service for spam, or act in a manner harmful to the Service or other users.

If we terminate your account for reasons unrelated to a Terms violation, we will refund any prepaid unused subscription fees on a prorated basis.

10. Content Ownership

You own the content you send to allora. You grant us a limited license to process and store it to operate the Service. We own the allora service, brand, and technology.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AI PROCESSING WILL BE ACCURATE, THAT REMINDERS WILL BE DELIVERED ON TIME, OR THAT SMS DELIVERY WILL SUCCEED. THE SERVICE DEPENDS ON THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS (TWILIO, CARRIER NETWORKS, CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE) WHOSE AVAILABILITY IS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALLORA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING:

  • LOSS FROM MISSED, LATE, OR INACCURATE REMINDERS
  • LOSS FROM AI MISINTERPRETATION OF MESSAGES
  • LOSS FROM SMS OR WHATSAPP DELIVERY FAILURES
  • LOSS FROM CALENDAR EVENTS CREATED WITH INCORRECT DETAILS
  • LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR (B) $50. SOME JURISDICTIONS LIMIT THESE EXCLUSIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold allora harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Dispute Resolution

Informal first: Before formal proceedings, contact hello@textallora.com and attempt to resolve the dispute for at least 30 days.

Arbitration: Unresolved disputes will be settled by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules.

Class action waiver: YOU AGREE THAT DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.

Small claims exception: Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court.

Opt-out: You may opt out of arbitration by emailing hello@textallora.com within 30 days of first using the Service. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in courts in the State of Colorado.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.

16. Changes

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via SMS. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, stop using the Service and cancel your account.
